THIS BLOG EXPLAINED (for those who are willing to read a whole paragraph):
I want to start a conversation about words. I think it's really interesting to see how a particular word resonates differently among different people. Whether it be cross-culturally, through translation, or simply as a result of associations and life experiences, people experience words very differently from one another. Anyone who has every talked about names preferences (i.e. "Would you ever name your child ______" or "I hate my name", appreciates the semi-conscious emotional connotations that words (names, in this case) hold for people). When I think about a particular word, I am often surprised by the strong feelings and associations that I have with common and seemingly unremarkable components of everyday language.
